Guzara allowance for blinds ( Discontinued by Punjab Zakat & Ushr Council for the current Financial Year) is a monthly grant meant for the total blind persons living below poverty line. It aims to safeguard them from extreme hunger. Its current monthly rate is PKR 2000 and istehqaq is determined by the Local Zakat & Ushr committee of the area of residence of the deserving (mustahiq) person. Guzara allowance for blinds is paid through branchless banking after Biometric verification System (BVS), which is relatively faster, more convenient and more transparent.
Eligibility Criteria
- Istehqaq is determined by Local Zakat & Ushr Committee of the area of permanent residence of the applicant.
- Blind certificate issued by Deputy Director, SW&BL,DHQ/THQ
- Total blind
- Unemployed
- Not a habitual beggar
How to Apply
The deserving person can apply to the Chairman, Local Zakat & Ushr Committee of the area of his/her residence. The Committee, after determination of Istehqaq, will release funds to the mustahiq PKR 2000 per month. Guzara allowance for Blinds is paid via branchless banking.
