Mr. Zain-Ul-Abdeen

District Sialkot

Mr. Zain-ul-Abdeen is a young and skilled guy of 29 years old. He has been living in Haji Pura since his birth. He has  six siblings. Being a member of poor family, it was near to impossible for him to compete with the challenging atmosphere of the society. He was ambitious to get Technical Education to meet the technical and scientific era along with handsome livelihood but it was difficult for his father to support him. There was a fateful day in his life when someone told him that Vocational Training Institutes are providing free facility of technical education along with stipend under the supervision and control of Zakat & Ushr Department Government of the Punjab. In order to fulfill his long dream, he took admission in Vocational Training Institute, Sialkot in trade Auto Cad Operator. He worked hard and obtained certificate of Auto Cad Operator in 2006 from Vocational Training Institute, Sialkot. After completion of Auto Cad Course, VTI was kind enough to refer him to Dr. Frigz International, Gohad Pur Sialkot for training. During training, he learned additional skills in CNC field too. Presently, he is earning Rs.45000 per month and running his own Auto Cad Designing business and CNC. It was all due to Zakat & Ushr Department efforts and funds. He is very thankful to zakat department for providing an opportunity to get technical education.  

Hina Shafique

Rehmat Pura, District Sialkot

Miss Hina Shafiq is a 20 years old girl. She has been living in Rehmat Pura Daska District Sialkot. Her family is consisted of eight members. Due to poor nutrition and other reasons, she suffered in a chronic disease of T.B. Being a member of poor family, it was near to impossible for her to compete with this dangerous disease. The fear to provide fee in private clinic to Doctors also enhanced her disease and tension.  It was difficult for her father to support her and got treatment from private Doctors. There was a red letter day in her life when someone told her family that Zakat & Ushr Department is providing free facility of treatment in Government hospitals.  Her family immediately decided to approach the Medical Social Welfare Officer AIM hospital Sialkot for taking admission. Hospital provided her free checkup and medicine. Due to free medicine, treatment stayed possible for her and now she is enjoying the blessings of health. So, health stayed as a wealth due to health funds of Zakat & Ushr Department.  

Elahi Bakhs

District Layyah


Mr. Elahi Bakhash is a 55 years old person. He has been living in Ward No.1& 2 in District Layyah. His family is consisted of six members. Due to high inflation, poverty and unemployment, it was a incessant headache for him to marriage her daughters. Being a poor person, it was very difficult for him to arrange sacred ceremonies of Nikah of his daughters and he re-coursed to Local Zakat Committee of the Zakat Department. The Local Zakat Committee determined his Istehqaq and referred the case to District Zakat Committee, Layyah for releasing of cheque amounting to Rs.10,000/- in head of marriage grant for unmarried women. The District Zakat Committee issued cheque in his favour keeping in view his poverty. Though this was a meager amount for a great scared ceremony of Nikah yet it proved as enabling step for marriage and Mr. Elahi Bakhash is gratifying to the Zakat & Ushr Department.
